ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is determined to develop environment-friendly tourism facilities in the country.
In a tweet, the PM said: “From our beaches in the south to Fairy Meadows in the north, and the rich history of our land, Pakistan has unlimited potential for developing eco-friendly tourism. This is a commitment we are determined to fulfill InshaAllah.”
On Nov 21, PM Imran had emphasised on the importance of developing tourism in the country while signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for partial abolition of visa between Malaysia and Pakistan.
PM Imran said Pakistan has huge untapped tourism resources, which it wants to develop on the pattern of Malaysia.
He added, “We will look at Malaysia and how it has progressed to bolster our tourism and other departments.”
